I'll make it easy for you, if you're an iOS person and it's time to get a new phone and you don't want to spend $ 1000, you should get an iPhone 11.
This is a really good phone with a best smartphone and the best battery life I have seen cameras Apple also reduced the price by 50 rupees. Starting with the iPhone 10 and 749 and starting with the iPhone 11 699 That doesn't mean that the iPhone 11 is a perfect phone or that it has all the great specs and features you can get. It doesn’t, but it shines where it counts and elsewhere it’s completely subtle.
And, if you want to live on the bloody edge of technology, you can spend another 300 300 and get an iPhone 11 Pro which I reviewed in another video. But I think most people are looking for an iPhone upgrade, they don't need to blow it up. Just get an iPhone 11, you'll be happy. Why am I telling you?
The iPhone 11 is basically last year's very popular iPhone 10R's S update It looks exactly like the iPhone 10R from the front. However, Apple says it has made the front and back of the glass a bit stiffer, the water resistance is better and the rear camera bump is now matched to the right kind in the glass and, it comes with a bunch of new pastel colors.
This lavender looks so beautiful to us. The whole design is still somewhat surfboard and it’s certainly not small. This thing will feel huge if you want to upgrade from an iPhone SEO. But really, the only major difference between the iPhone 10 and the iPhone 11 is the camera, slightly improved battery life, and newer processors. Here are some more small things that we will get but this is what you should know. And, it’s 50 cheaper, it’s not the hardest review I’ve ever done. But Dieter Bohan, Verge's executive editor, has been using the iPhone 10R for the past year. And he’s also testing the iPhone 11 this week. So, I called him to see what he was thinking.
Okay, let's start with the battery life. You've been using 10R for the past year. Apple says 11 will take more than an hour, what do you think? - I mean, I bought 10 more at first because I don't want to worry about battery life. So, I didn’t just make it last all day and the iPhone 11 also lasts all day, I don’t have to worry about battery life. I think it’s a bit better but I don’t know for sure. And see, you can probably kill this thing in less than a day but you really have to try I think battery life is great. What’s not great is the fact that it’s still in the box, along with those five watt chargers. - I strongly feel that I can rent you a USB-C here, but I will not do it with everyone else. Instead, I’ll ask you about the camera. Now, I think Apple actually turned it off and they did a great job with the camera.
They’re pulling forward from the pixels, do you think? - So, I actually want to start with the most difficult situation I can get out of or around. So, it’s the Pixel 3 vs. the iPhone 11 it’s zoomed in a bit more than 2x and it’s in night mode and you can see that the iPhone 11 really holds its own it still really wants to bring shadows but it stays with the Pixel. Now, here's another one, it's Pixel 3 vs iPhone 11 again and here iPhone 11 just nails the tones and colors where Pixel 3 just looks unnaturally bright and weird looks so, I like iPhone 11 a lot - you know I Now I’ve been saying for a few months on VergeCast that I think the iPhone 10S looks bad and then Apple’s HDR was bad last year.
But I think they have really improved it this year. It is more willing to let the shadows of the film and the highlights to be highlighted. They are doing this semantic rendering thing, where they are processing hair and sky and face differently. I think it really works. Here’s a picture of Moyer, which I think could be the whole review as true. The 10S Max is kind of vague, it has lost a lot of detail. 11 Great sharp, has a ton of detail here and it renders shadows and highlights more efficiently. It's kind of a wash with pixels but I actually like the 11 - you know, apart from the details, I'm more than happy with the color choices of the iPhone 11.
So, there is a portrait mode here as opposed to 10 vs. 10 and 10 R only thinks that yellow can be counted as natural and that is not correct. The iPhone 11 is actually a better way but if you look closely you will see a weird thing that the iPhone 11 seems to be doing worse in portrait cutouts, it really made my glasses look bad. - So, it's really interesting because the 11 has two lenses on the back. So, it is doing 10D only in the software while it is using two cameras to map the depth. I actually asked Apple about it and they were quite surprised. They think obviously the 11 should have done better and they told me that they have spent a lot of time working on the glasses this year in particular. So, this is one of the things we're going to see right now that software improves over time. But it’s very surprising that 10 is working even better with your glasses. However, tell me about Ultra-Wide in general, I’m kidding about it, how about you?
So, I know this huge argument is now at 11 they added a second lens, so they should have added a telephoto or an ultra-wide and I'm totally on the team ultra-wide. I think it is more effective than just 2x telephoto. So, for example, here is a photo of a vineyard standard wide and ultra-wide wide and I just like the ultra-wide better. - So, I agree with you that the right call via ultra-wide telephoto. However, where I disagree is how much I actually use it. The Ultra-Wide has a slow lens, it has got a small sensor. I'm just less impressed with these photos.
So, although it’s really fun, I think it’s better to use the original camera and just back up. And I think it's easier to back up than to zoom in. That's just a fact. - That's not true at all. The way to go three steps and you know telephoto better, zoom in better than walking backwards way I don't know where you took the picture but it's in a weird place. - I mean, the back is better than the forward, which is obviously true. (Laughs) Alex took a ton of sloppy while we were out shooting.
Here’s one, I don’t want to talk about it at all. However, video on iPhones has long been better than Android phones. It seems to be widening the gap. You have tested many Android phones, what do you think? - So man, the only Android phones that are close to the same league as the iPhone are Samsung phones like the Note 10 or Galaxy S10. Even if they are in the same league, they basically lose every time. And, I know the Pixel 4 is coming soon and I don’t want to pre-judge it here, but let’s just say, the iPhone is definitely the best camera for video. - Yeah, I think the Pixel 4 kind of is on top of this whole thing, but it hasn't come out yet. It's leaked everywhere, but it's not out yet. We'll have to check it out when it arrives. So, you've been using 10 R for years.
You had 11, what do you think, worth the upgrade? - I mean, it depends on how you feel about your current phone's camera and possibly battery life, and if you have something older than 10, it's totally worth it. And indeed, wait a minute, I can do your review, you should finish it. (Bips) - It was really quite rude. There's not much to say about the iPhone 11's display. It has the same liquid retina LCD for the same year, the same glasses and the same kind of thick bezel.
